Piccolo dies from Nappa’s ki blast, resulting in Kami’s death and the destruction of Earth’s Dragon Balls. Goku finally arrives at the battlefield just in time to save Gohan and Krillin. Goku engages Nappa in battle and it quickly becomes clear that Goku is the superior fighter. Realizing this, Vegeta finally decides to step into the fight.
